Ingredients for Paste
1. Jeera - 1/4 tbsp
2. Sanuf -1/4 tbsp
3. Coriander seeds - 1/2 tbsp
4. Cloves - 2pcs
5. Cinnamon sticks - 1/2 inch
6. Red chillies - 5pcs
7. Green chillies - 2 pcs
8. Dry coconut - 3 tbsp
9. Fried gram - 2tbsp
10. Turmeric - 1/4 tbsp
11. Garlic - 2 pcs
Prepare the ground paste using the above ingredients mentioned for paste, add little water while preparing the paste.
Other Ingredients
1. Potatoes - 3 boiled and mashed
2. Onion - 1 Chopped
3. Tomato - 1 Chopped
4. Salt to taste
5. Mustard seeds - 1/4 tbsp
6. Curry Leaves - 1 Spring
7. Oil - 3tbsp
Method
1. Heat the oil in the pan, add mustard seeds and curry leaves let them splutter
2. Now add the chopped onions and saute them for 2 minutes
3. Add the chopped tomatoes and saute them till tomatoes are cooked well.
4. Now add the grounded paste to the onion and tomato mixture, saute them till the raw smell is gone.
5. Now add the boiled and mashed potatoes to the gravy and mix them thoroughly
6. Add 1 glass of water, bring to the whichever consistency is required
7. Add the salt as per the taste and cook them for few minutes.
Potato kurma is ready to serve.
Note: Above ingredients measures for 2 persons.
